TOPS!
britticisms: I meant to post this weeks ago, but then I came back to my parents place and all I really wanted to do was gorge on tortilla chips and watch Wife Swap. I couldn’t rank all of these songs, so I just ranked my 10 favorite songs of the year, and then listed the rest. — 1. “Last Day of Magic” by The Kills 2. “Until We Bleed” by Kleerup featuring Lyyke Li 3. “House Jam” by Gang Gang...

The Op-Chart: 2008 in Questions  →
inothernews:gillianmae: From the New York Times: “Time has no divisions to mark its passage,” Thomas Mann observed. “There is never a thunderstorm or blare of trumpets to announce the beginning of a new month or year. Even when a new century begins it is only we mortals who ring bells and fire off pistols.” And it is only we mortals who publish quizzes. Below are 118 questions, and a fiendish...

The "true" that broke my sister's back.
Sister:  Brian used to work there…like five years ago. Me:  true Sister:  That is like the worst bullshit thing to say. I don’t understand what that’s supposed to mean. Me:  It means “that’s cool but what you just told me is something i dont need to know or cared to know and I don’t even know who the hell brian is so why are you telling me this so Ill just agree...

New Year's Champagne Toast and Late Night Dance...
brianvan: I’m having a New Year’s party at my apartment so that I don’t have to go out. Why should you battle the crowds and overpay for parties, either? I’d sent this invite out last week to my email list; here’s a reminder for some of you and an announcement for anyone else who’d like to come. The dance party will be a loud, crazy affair, and there will be plenty of liquor available for both...

Weighty Matters: Happiness Is Not A Smaller Dress... →
I don’t think the numbers would be the same if this poll was done in the U.S.  For one, we are less healthy.  Also, we are extremists which adds to our poor health. I, for one, have a hard time getting dressed when I am heavier (which for me is a 6).  I personally find a huge difference between then amount of cuts and shapes that flatter my body between when I am a 6 and when I am a 4. ...

My Mexican New Years Eve
My sister let me have a dress she purchased while in Mexico on a yoga retreat.  It’s ripped but I can easily mend it since its on the hem.  The fabric is soft on my skin and the colors are vibrant.  I think it will make the perfect Mexi-Eve dress.
